Can anyone recommend a dog trainer in NJ / NYC area? Also, what method to use remote or clicker training?
With clicker training is said to be hit or miss – even the dog is not really learn the behavior … just do it for the performance and processing …. this true?
Sorry, I can not help with the trainers, Thomas contacted the local obedience club will certainly get some excellent suggestions for trainers to follow. I found mine through agility club suggestions. The beauty of this road is that you are getting suggestions from trainers who have used knowledge and confidence to be good at what they do. I'm going to obedience training classes of competition with my Border Collie dog and we are using the clicker method. I found it very useful. It is a reward or treat method, but a good coach who teaches this also helps you learn to eliminate trafficking. I taught my BC to "hitting a target" just an hour. I think it's a quick way to get the message my puppy what do I want to do. Make a google search and you can read in more detail what it entails. I personally do not train without this useful tool.

Healthy dog biscuits are the best treatment for dogs. They are tasty and very easy to do. Forms could be anything, but I prefer the bones, paws and cutters chicken leg. Question must be stored in an airtight container, away from sun up to 1 week. Always remember the parchment paper with cooking spray.
Paprika Parsley-Dog Treat:
Ingredients
2 1 / 2 cups flour
1 cup rolled oats
3 / 4 cup cornmeal
1 tablespoon sugar
3 tablespoons of broth (chicken, vegetable or beef)
1 tablespoon paprika
1 tablespoon yeast
1 tablespoon parsley dry (or use finely chopped fresh)
1 cup boiling water
1 / 3 cup butter
1 / 2 cup milk
1 egg
Blend until the thick porridge. Water of butter, cream, milk and egg. Add all dry ingredients and knees until mixture forms a paste. On a lightly floured surface, diffusion mass of 1 / 2 inch thick. Cut into desired shape, place on parchment paper and bake in preheated oven at 350 degrees for 30-35 minutes.
Double Chicken Dog Treat:

Combine flour and cornmeal in a bowl. In a large bowl add the egg, oil and broth – the add 1 / 3 of flour mixture at a time, mixing well between additions. Add the livers chicken until well incorporated in the dough. Mass of a knee on the surface of flour for 1 minute, cut and place on parchment paper. Bake in preheated oven at 400 ° F for 15 minutes.

1 cup shredded cheddar
1 egg, beaten

In a bowl combine oats, margarine and boiling water. Let stand for ten minutes. Add the sugar, corn, broth, milk, cheese and egg. Mix well. Lightly spoon flour into measuring cup and level off. Add the flour a cup at a time, mixing between additions to combine properly. Once the mass will be tough. In flour, the dough surface knees until no longer sticky, and has a smooth texture. Roll dough to ½ inch pieces, cut and place on parchment paper. Bake in preheated oven at 325 ° F for 35-45 minutes.
